Allison Transmission showcased its latest updates in propulsion technology at Work Truck Week 2023 in Indianapolis.

Alexander Schey, Managing Director of Electrification Commercialization and Strategy, Allison Transmission, hosted a breakout session focused on the company’s strategy for leading the commercial vehicle industry in the shift to electric vehicles through its innovative electrified propulsion solutions.

At the Work Truck Show, Allison also sponsored the Work Truck Week 2023 Ride & Drive.

Participants had the opportunity to test-drive commercial vehicles with the latest fuels and technologies, sustainability offerings, and propulsion systems.

Drivers chose from 19 vehicles including trucks equipped with the Allison 9-Speed transmission and eGen Power 100D fully electric axle.

The Allison 9-Speed addresses increasingly stringent emissions regulations with minimal integration and validation requirements by sharing a commonality with Allison’s proven 2000 Series platform.

The eGen Power family of fully electric axles is designed to fit between the wheels of medium- and heavy-duty trucks and buses, replacing the vehicle’s traditional powertrain with electric power.

The Allison 9-Speed and eGen Power 100S was on display at Allison’s Work Truck booth as well as an immersive experience for attendees to interact with Allison’s e-Axles.

The company showcased its 3000 Series transmission designed for medium-duty commercial vehicles in a variety of applications.

The 3000 Series is built to make medium-duty vehicles more fuel efficient and easier to operate. All of these propulsion solutions were developed to help fleets improve fuel economy and maximize vehicle efficiency.
