National average diesel fuel prices have been on a steady rise for the past year.

National average diesel fuel prices were $3.72 per gallon as of Nov. 29, 2021, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA).

This is a dip of 1 cent compared to mid November, but the first drop of any kind that's been seen in several months. 

Most regions experienced a small price dip, with the exception of the West Coast. This week shows an increase of $0.004 from the week prior and and increase of $1.22 year-over-year. 

Current average diesel prices by region are:

  • East Coast: $3.68
  • Midwest: $3.60
  • Gulf Coast: $3.45
  • Rocky Mountain: $3.82
  • West Coast: $4.45
