Diesel prices have stabilized after some consistent rises.

National average diesel fuel prices were $3.34 per gallon as of August 30, 2021, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. While down just under 1 cent compared to same time last week, overall prices are rising and up about 90 cents over the same time last year.

All regions except the Rocky Mountains saw an increase week-over-week and compared to one year prior. Average national diesel prices have been on the rise since Nov. 2, 2020.

Current average diesel prices by region are:

  • East Coast: $3.31
  • Midwest: $3.24
  • Gulf Coast: $3.06
  • Rocky Mountains: $3.63
  • West Coast: $4.00
