Westport's Propane Autogas F-150 to Use CleanFuel Injection

CleanFuel USA will provide its Liquid Propane Injection technology for Westport Innovations' propane autogas-powered 2016 Ford F-150 pickup for the fleet market.
Westport is modifying the F-150's 5.0L V-8 equipped with a factory gaseous prep package to run as a dedicated propane autogas truck. Ford added the package for the 2016 model year. Westport will add its WiNG Power System.

Fleets can purchase the 2016 F-150 with a propane autogas fuel package offering three tank sizes, including a standard 23-gallon underbody tank, extended 39-gallon underbody tank, or in-bed 60-gallon tank.
The fuel pump has a life expectancy of 150,000 miles. There are no additional scanning tools required for diagnostic service and it features simplified maintenance with a replaceable inline filter, Westport announced.
Westport is a Ford Qualified Vehicle Modifier (QVM), meaning the truck retains its factory warranty following the conversion. Westport is now taking orders.
