Westport is taking advantage of Ford’s natural gas and propane gaseous prep package introduced for 2016 vehicles.
The propane system includes a 24-gallon fuel tank or optional 16-gallon tank and the fuel pump has a life expectancy of 150,000 miles. There are no additional scanning tools required for diagnostic service and it features simplified maintenance with a replaceable inline filter, according to the company. Westport’s LPG tank package is located underbody and doesn’t take up any truck bed space to maximize vehicle capacity.
