This year marks the 50th birthday of Time Manufacturing's Versalift, an aerial lift producer. Since its inception in 1965, Versalift has grown to become a global name and a leader in aerial vehicle manufacturing.

Russell Howard, a mechanical engineer, and Charles Turner, whose family owned an independent telephone company at the time, joined forces in 1965 in Clifton, Texas, to establish Time Manufacturing. With the rapid expansion of telecommunications during the 60s, the demand for telephone and cable companies was at the all time high. Howard and Turner realized the need for safe and efficient aerial equipment, and so was born Time Manufacturing.

Versalift quickly gained recognition around the nation. In its 50 years of existence, the company has rapidly expanded and now serves a global market.

Time Manufacturing moved to Waco, Texas, in 1972 where it abides to this day with over 300,000 square feet of working space and two manufacturing facilities. By the mid-70s, Versalift had introduced products to Europe. Today, the company has distributors scattered across Europe, Africa, and the Middle and Far East, as well as a growing chain of national distributors.

With eyes toward the future, Versalift remains committed to its legacy of success by offering units that support the latest industry demands. Whether it be the continued production of top-of-the-line aerial lifts or all new products for industries like wind energy, Time Manufacturing looks forward to its next 50 years of raising standards and customers alike.
