Verizon Connect has released its Work Mobile app for Android and Apple devices that allows companies to improve management of their mobile workers and jobs in the field, the telematics provider announced.
Work Mobile, which is now available for download, allows mobile workers to be offline and still receive job details or share notes, photos, and signatures from the field. The app provides near-real-time updates so administrators can see job status and communicate schedule changes.
The app offers a simplified map and lists job locations for the day so managers can plan workers days more efficiently. Job details enable workers to record notes; upload multiple photos while onsite; collect customer signatures; record parts used; and invoice and capture essential time spent on job sites.
"The Work Mobile app helps make it easy to access and communicate job information to any smartphone without the need for paperwork or phone calls," said Erin Cave, vice president of product management at Atlanta-based Verizon Connect.
