Transicold Enhances Warranty Coverage
The warranties for the hybrid Vector 8500 and Vector 8600MT units now include 48-month/8,000-hour major component coverage for the engine, generator and compressor.
Carrier Transicold has enhanced the warranty coverage for its Vector trailer refrigeration units, reflecting the series’ reputation for reliability. Carrier Transicold helps improve global transport and shipping of temperature-controlled cargoes with a complete line of equipment for refrigerated trucks, trailers and containers, and is a part of UTC Building & Industrial Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp.
The warranties for the hybrid Vector 8500 and Vector 8600MT units now include 48-month/8,000-hour major component coverage for the engine, generator and compressor. This compares with 36-month/6,000-hour coverage on earlier models. Additionally, the APX control’s microprocessor and stepper valve modules are warrantied for 60 months/10,000 hours – one year longer than comparative control systems.
The Vector units continue to offer 12 months of unlimited coverage and 36-month/6,000-hour limited coverage for the entire unit. On the multi-temp Vector 8600MT, basic warranty coverage for the new, smarter remote evaporators has been extended to 36 months/6,000 hours, triple the warranty for prior remote evaporators.
The Vector 8100 engineless unit for stationary cold storage applications also now features improved warranty coverage, with the run-hours limit for 36-month basic coverage and 48-month major component coverage now extended to 10,000 hours.
