Dan Murphy, president and CEO of Idealease, Inc., was appointed chairman of the Truck Renting and Leasing Association’s (TRALA) Board of Directors during a special meeting last week.
This special meeting was held after the association decided to postpone its 2020 annual meeting due to the threat of COVID-19 coronavirus. Instead of waiting the six months it would take for the rescheduled meeting to take place, the TRALA board decided to vote in all of its officers during the special meeting.
The new dates for TRALA’s 2020 Annual Meeting are Sept. 27-30 at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point in Bonita Springs, Fla.
As president, Murphy stated that he will focus on supporting the advocacy efforts of TRALA on the state level and in Washington D.C. He also said that it would be critical to ensure TRALA has the resources necessary to continue to win in legislative, regulatory, and issue fronts.
Larry Price, director of operations for Palmer Leasing is the outgoing TRALA Chairman and will serve as immediate past chairman on the board.
The other TRALA Board of Directors officers include BT Steadman, managing member of Vacuum Truck Rentals who will serve as vice chairman; Scott Anderson, senior vice president of Rush Truck Leasing, who will serve as secretary; and Tom Brown, CEO of Brown NationaLease, who will serve as treasurer.
Jake Jacoby continues as president and CEO of the Truck Renting and Leasing Association.
