Titan Prepares to Raise OTR Tire Prices
QUINCY, IL - Titan Tire Corp. will raise aftermarket prices on Titan branded OTR tires effective Oct. 1, 2010.
QUINCY, IL - Titan Tire Corp. will raise aftermarket prices on Titan branded OTR tires effective Oct. 1, 2010.
The price increase generally will range anywhere from 3% to 10% depending on the size. Certain tire prices may rise in excess of 10 percent "due to realignment and positioning of the product," according to the company.
The increase was necessary to "offset rising raw material, energy and transportation costs."
Citing the same reasons, Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations LLC's Off Road Tire, U.S. & Canada Tire Sales division raised prices by 2-7 percent, effective Sept. 1.
Michelin North America Inc. gave "escalating raw material prices" as the reason it recently raised prices on its Michelin earthmover tires sold in the U.S. and Mexico. The 3-percent increase went into effect on Aug. 1.
Titan Tire is a subsidiary of Titan International Inc. For more information about the company, visit www.titan-intl.com.
