Siemens launched its Depot360 Home Charging Reimbursement program in the United States. Designed to streamline electric vehicle (EV) fleet home charging, Depot360 eliminates the need for expensive networked chargers and meters. Instead, it leverages vehicle telematics data and geofencing to accurately identify and measure home charging sessions.
Depot360 is part of Siemens' Managed Services portfolio and is compatible with all EVs and chargers. Its innovative design allows work truck fleet operators to reimburse drivers for home charging without the capital investment tied to traditional networked solutions.
By tracking the vehicle's location rather than relying on charger measurements, Depot360 enables operators to reimburse only for work truck fleet vehicles, even when multiple vehicles share the same charger.
Alan White, Global Head of Emerging Transportation Platforms at Siemens Smart Infrastructure, called the new offering a "game-changer" for fleet operators accelerating their electrification journey. "Depot360 Home Charging Reimbursement enables remote and home charging for fleets while minimizing capital investment and risk," White said.
First Deployment Set for 11,000 Vehicles by 2030
Siemens Mobility Services, part of Siemens Corporation Supply Chain Management, is the first fleet operator to deploy Depot360. The team currently manages 11,000 vehicles in the U.S., ranging from work trucks and cargo vans to bucket trucks and tractor-trailers. The goal is to roll out Depot360 to all 11,000 vehicles by 2030.
"Identifying the optimal solution internally underscores the depth of our in-house expertise," said Adam Orth, U.S. Head of Fleet at Siemens Mobility Services. "We’re proud to be the first to adopt this innovative approach. This solution not only reduces upfront infrastructure costs and ongoing operational expenses, but streamlines home charging reimbursement programs, enabling operators to scale their electrification plans with greater efficiency, flexibility, and confidence."
Insights and Optimization for Work Truck Fleets
The platform integrates with telematics providers to access real-time vehicle data, providing deep insights into home charging activities. Depot360’s AI platform analyzes collective data from home charging sessions, optimizing charging strategies across depots, public chargers, and home locations.
This optimization can help work truck fleets reduce energy costs and participate in energy programs, further enhancing fleet electrification efforts.
By simplifying home charging reimbursement, Siemens is positioning Depot360 as a key tool for work truck fleet operators looking to enhance efficiency, cut costs, and accelerate EV adoption without major infrastructure investments.

Bobit Business Media surveyed 190 fleet professionals and found that while most fleets are tracking costs, fragmented systems and data gaps are keeping true TCO visibility out of reach. With rising pressure to control spend in an increasingly volatile environment, the gap between what fleets think they know and what the data actually shows is wider than you might expect. See how your peers are managing costs today and where the industry still has room to improve.
