ROUSH CleanTech is celebrating a major milestone: 15 years of driving innovation in clean fleet technology!
The company officially launched on October 18, 2010, during Bobit Business Media’s Green Fleet Conference in San Diego, an event that helped shape early conversations around sustainable transportation. That moment marked the beginning of ROUSH CleanTech’s mission to make alternative fuel solutions more accessible to fleets nationwide.
Since then, the company has grown from just six employees to more than 100 and has reached some impressive milestones along the way. From partnering with Frito-Lay in 2011 as its first customer to producing its first 1,000 propane Type C school buses with Blue Bird by 2013, and now surpassing 45,000 advanced clean buses, ROUSH CleanTech has built a reputation on clarity, transparency, and collaboration.
In 2017, the company became the first to develop a propane engine for medium-duty Class 4-7 vehicles meeting the optional low NOx level of 0.05g/bhp-hr; 75% cleaner than the standard at the time. Today, that number is even more impressive, with its latest engines performing 90% cleaner than the EPA’s most stringent heavy-duty engine standards.
Now with over 3,000 customers, 50,000 vehicles on the road, and 3 billion miles of real-world data, ROUSH CleanTech continues to deliver on its commitment to cleaner, smarter fleet solutions through collaborations with industry leaders such as Blue Bird and Ford.
The company is marking its crystal anniversary symbolizing transparency, clarity, and brilliance by sharing some of its biggest moments and “firsts” across its social media channels.
From humble beginnings at a fleet sustainability event to becoming a leader in clean transportation, ROUSH CleanTech’s 15-year journey is one worth celebrating.
Happy anniversary, ROUSH CleanTech; Cheers to the next 15 years of innovation!
