Chrysler's Ram ProMaster full-size van saw strong demand since its introduction in October, the automaker reported in its year-end sales.
In the waning months of 2013, Chrysler sold 3,270 ProMaster vans, including 1,872 in December, which marked a 126% increase from November.

Overall, Chrysler sold 9% more vehicles in the U.S. in 2013 than in 2012, highlighted by strong year-end sales of the new 2014 Jeep Cherokee, which was introduced in late October. The automaker sold 1.8 million vehicles in the U.S.
The automaker's 2013 sales were also driven by the 2014 Ram 1500 pickup. Sales of Ram heavy duty pickups rose 16%, while light duty pickup sales increased 7%. The Ram Truck brand led all Chrysler segments with a 22% increase from 2012.
The Ram 1500 arrived with the new EcoDiesel V-6 engine mated to an eight-speed TorqueFlite transmission for a towing capacity of up to 9,200 pounds. The is among Ward's 10 Best Engines for 2014.
