MINNEAPOLIS - XATA Corporation, a fleet optimization software and services company, announced that Predestination Transportation LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Wood Fruitticher Food Service recently chose XATA for its flagship XATANET fleet management solution. Birmingham, Ala.-based Wood Fruitticher Food Service will enable its 100-truck fleet with XATANET for increased fleet visibility, safety and efficiency.
An independent broadline distributor of food and other restaurant-related goods since 1913, Wood Fruitticher distributes products to customers in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, Tennessee, southern South Carolina and eastern Louisiana. With annual sales of more than $300 million and a reputation for one of the fastest fill-rates in the industry, Wood Fruitticher knows how to leverage technology to achieve the highest possible business efficiencies.
"As a company, we're known for using state-of-the art technology to help us run our business and provide the best service possible to our customers," said Richard Toya, director of transportation, Wood Fruitticher. "With XATANET's Fleet Performance Management technology in place, we will have the business and fleet operations reporting we need to ensure the safest and most efficient operations possible. We look forward to working with XATA to take our fleet performance to the next level."
Wood Fruitticher will use XATANET to monitor vehicle location and driver behavior and to streamline its regulatory compliance procedures. The foodservice distributor selected XATA for its flexible software platform and the ability to integrate XATANET with other fleet applications, but also for the customer service and professional implementation processes XATA provides. With XATANET in place, Wood Fruitticher expects to achieve ROI within six months, and will reduce fleet-related operating expenses by 12 percent.
"Our solution is not just about the technology," said David Gagne, executive vice president, field operations, XATA Corporation. "At XATA, we work with our customers and help them deliver processes tailored to their unique business needs to run a smart and effective fleet."
