Rudolph Foods, manufacturer of pork rinds, and ShurTech Brands, LLC., makers of Duck brand duct tape, are preparing to celebrate National Truck Driver Appreciation (NTDA) Week September 16-22.
Rudolph Foods, manufacturer of pork rinds, and ShurTech Brands, LLC., makers of Duck brand duct tape, are preparing to celebrate National Truck Driver Appreciation (NTDA) Week September 16-22, 2012 with an eight-week campaign that begins July 2, and celebrates the spirit of the American truck driver. In the campaign, drivers can show their appreciation for pork rinds and duct tape through a unique video contest whereby they stand to win $1,500. Details of the campaign can be found on Facebook.com/RudolphFoods and at RudolphFoods.com/3Things.
Throughout the celebration, Rudolph Foods will ask truck drivers, fans and friends to record videos filling in the following phrase “3 things I always keep in my truck: a bag of pork rinds, a roll of Duck Tape, and _______.” Consumers can show their creativity, spirit and love for pork rinds and duct tape through this video contest.
A Rudolph Foods pork rind and Duck brand duct tape prize pack and $1,500 will be awarded to the best answer submitted at Rudolph Foods’ Facebook page, voted on by a panel of judges and Facebook fans. Video entries will be accepted from July 2 – July 31. Voting will take place on Rudolph’s Facebook page beginning August 1. Winners will be announced during NTDA week. To participate on Twitter, check out #Trucker or #TruckDriver.
“Our truck drivers are at the core of the Rudolph Foods operation,” said Mark Singleton, Vice President Sales and Marketing, Rudolph Foods. “No food lands on our plates without truckers and we wanted to say thanks.”
“We feel strongly about supporting American truck drivers and are excited to hear what they keep in their trucks,” said Bill Kahl, Executive Vice President of Marketing, ShurTech Brands, LLC.
Prior to NTDA week, Rudolph will show its gratitude for the trucking community on Facebook.com/RudolphFoods, via a grassroots engagement with various Truck Drivers, Associations and schools, and at the Big Iron Classic Trucker convention in Kasson, Minnesota over Labor Day weekend, where a street team dressed in Duck Tape® will share pork rind samples.
