The Propane Education and Research Council released a series of videos highlighting companies that are developing and commercializing new propane technologies.
The video series is called Clean American Innovation and gives a behind-the-scenes look at manufacturing facilities using the latest propane technologies in production. The companies featured in the videos include Freightliner Custom Chassis, Generac, Kohler Engines and Power systems, Marathon, Origin Engines, Power Solutions International, and Roush CleanTech.
“These world-class companies continue to build and commercialize new equipment that runs on propane for a good reason: propane is a smart investment,” said Roy Willis, president and CEO of PERC.
With Freightliner in particular, the company has designed custom vehicles like the propane S2G. In the video, Freightliner representatives explain the benefits the technology can bring to fleet managers.
In the episode with Roush CleanTech, the company explains how its partnership with Ford has allowed it to design propane-powered vehicles that are tuned to get the most out of a conversion to the fuel and what advantages propane has over conventional fuels.
