PHILADELPHIA – With more than 700 locations across the country, The Pep Boys – Manny, Moe & Jack announced an expansion of its business with the formal relaunch of its dedicated fleet services program.
For more than 90 years, customers have trusted Pep Boys to maintain their vehicles. With the same wide variety of services and maintenance solutions that retail customers enjoy, the Pep Boys Fleet Services Program helps business owners and fleet administrators manage the maintenance and repair of their fleet easily and efficiently. Whether big or small, import or domestic, Pep Boys has built its business on the principle of providing drivers with goods and services that are both convenient and a good value.
In the past, business owners had to drive to multiple repair facilities in order for different types of work to be completed on the vehicles that make their business run. The Pep Boys Fleet Program has ASE Certified technicians at each location to make Pep Boys a “One-Stop Shop” for routine maintenance or major repairs regardless of whether the fleet is three vehicles or 300.
“From tires and oil changes, to brakes, state inspections, and engine diagnostics, we can do it all,” said Andy Procell, Pep Boys Assistant Vice President of Fleet. “At Pep Boys, we believe in partnering with our customers to control and reduce expenses and minimize vehicle downtime. Our program is built on three fundamental deliverables -- Trust, Convenience, and Value. Pep Boys has some of the best technicians in the industry and are available for service and support at times when most of our competitors are closed. Combined with our dedicated sales, support and maintenance staff, Pep Boys has the ability to maintain fleets in ways that no one else can.”
Convenience
The 700-plus Pep Boys stores across the country are open seven days, six nights a week and offer an online appointment system with priority service and the option of “early-bird” drop off. Pep Boys has access to more than 75,000 parts -- both private label and name brand -- that are stocked within its network, meaning parts are available when they are needed. Some services, like engine oil and filter changes can often be performed in under an hour with an appointment.
Each Pep Boys store across the country is managed by national, regional and local support teams that provide comprehensive estimates before performing work, and carry the peace of mind of national warranties for parts and labor.
With Pep Boys’ state-of-the-art equipment and tools, the company has the ability to work on most vehicles. Additionally, at select locations across the country, state inspections and hybrid vehicle maintenance can be performed.
Cost Benefit
Pep Boys’ inventory is purchased directly from the manufacturer, ensuring quality and competitive fleet pricing that can be passed directly to the customer. In fact, because some services are nationally priced, fleet administrators can access data and determine costs for certain repairs wherever the vehicle is in the country. For those in need of additional help, Pep Boys offers assistance with scheduling preventative maintenance and forecasting future fleet expenses through a dedicated network of fleet experts.
Also available is the Pep Boys Fleet Card. The Pep Boys Fleet Card allows administrators and business owners to set purchase limits on fleet purchases with easy access to custom reports that allow one to review purchase history and invoices, schedule payments and manage expenses.
