Openlane, a digital marketplace for wholesale used vehicles, announced the launch of Visual Boost AI, a game-changing tool that uses artificial intelligence to detect and highlight vehicle damage in real-time. This new solution gives used-vehicle buyers a clearer understanding of the condition of the vehicle, allowing them to make more informed purchasing decisions.

The traditional method of physically inspecting a vehicle for damage can be time-consuming and often leads to missed defects. Openlane's Visual Boost AI eliminates these issues by providing a virtual overlay of any exterior damage detected, such as hail, paint peel, detached panels, broken lights, rust, scratches, dents, and cracks. The hot pink highlights make it easy for fleet buyers to spot potential problems, giving them greater confidence in their purchases.

"Our goal is to make the wholesale car buying experience as seamless and stress-free as possible," said James Coyle, EVP & President, North American Marketplaces at Openlane. "Visual Boost AI is a significant step forward in achieving that goal. By providing buyers with a clear and accurate visual representation of the vehicle's condition, we're helping them avoid costly mistakes and ensuring they get the best value for their money."

Rami Mourtaja, General Manager of R B Morgan Co in Houston, Texas, has seen firsthand the benefits of Openlane's Visual Boost AI.

"It's like having a pair of magic glasses that show me exactly where the damage is," he said. "I no longer have to spend hours pouring over inspection reports, trying to decipher cryptic notes and tiny photographs. With Visual Boost AI, I can quickly and easily identify potential issues and make informed bids with confidence," Mourtaja said.

Developed in collaboration with Click-Ins Visual Intelligence platform for vehicle inspections, Visual Boost AI is the latest example of Openlane's commitment to harnessing technology to improve the wholesale vehicle buying experience. By combining the power of artificial intelligence with the expertise of human inspectors, Openlane is revolutionizing the way cars are bought and sold.
