JEFFERSON CITY, MO – More than 3,500 biodiesel producers, marketers, and supporters will attend this year’s National Biodiesel Conference and Expo, which will be held Feb. 4-7, at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio. The focus of this year’s conference will be on biodiesel’s growing political clout, fuel-quality monitoring and enforcement efforts, and new diesel products from vehicle and equipment manufacturers, capable of running on biodiesel blends. DaimlerChrysler, General Motors, Volkswagen, and Artic Cat will have new biodiesel blend-fueled vehicles for a Ride-and-Drive Feb. 5-6. Participating vehicles will include the 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Ram, 2007 Chevy Silverado, and 2007 VW Toureg. The automakers will be joined by representatives from Detroit Diesel, Caterpillar, and Honda for a session on New Diesel Product Rollouts for 2007 and Beyond. Special events and speakers include a concert with Merle Haggard, a keynote address from James Carville & Mary Matalin, Larry Hagman, and Dr. John Stoessinger, political analyst and author.
