Four of the workshops will run concurrently on the first day. The corporate, pharma, university, and utility workshops will all begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at 10:30 a.m.

The theme for this year’s corporate workshop — which is aimed at corporate fleet managers — is “Increasing the Value of the Fleet Manager in the Mobility Value Chain.” Several fleet professionals will speak during this session to talk about how they’re addressing this theme, and attendee participation is encouraged.

The Pharma workshop is an open forum available only to fleet managers. The session will focus on the challenges that fleet managers face in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or related industries with field sales and support professionals. The session will be an open discussion on fleet policies. Sonya Girard, who currently serves as the fleet manager / sr. project manager at IDEXX, will be moderating and speaking.

The university workshop is the workshop that fleet managers who manage a college or university fleet will want to attend. The workshop will be an informal and free-flowing discussion that will cover topics such as student drivers, MVR checks for faculty, daily rental fleets, and technician training. Mike Wilson, CAFM, the fleet manager at University of Iowa will moderate the event.

The utility workshop will feature a roundtable discussion that will begin by Alex Senf, manager at Altec, giving a presentation based on his experience in load management followed by a presentation into legal allowable load. Gary Lentsch, CAFM, fleet manager at Eugene Water and Electric, will moderate and speak.
