As Mike Albert Fleet Solutions names Marty Kuhn its chief executive officer, the company continues to invest in work-ready vehicles, connected fleet technologies, and data-driven fleet operations.
Kuhn, who has served as president since 2022 and will retain that role, said fleet operators increasingly need support managing growing operational complexity while keeping vehicles productive and available.
The company's strategy includes expanding work-ready upfitting capabilities so vehicles arrive configured for the jobs they are built to do, while also broadening services across maintenance, fuel, telematics, and other operational areas.
Under Kuhn's leadership, adoption of services beyond traditional leasing has nearly tripled, according to the company.
"Fleet management is only getting more complex, and our clients deserve a partner who knows their fleet and helps them act before a problem becomes a disruption," Kuhn said.
What Else is Ahead for Mike Albert Fleet Solutions?
Mike Albert has also continued investing in its OverDrive fleet management platform, adding features such as Single Sign-On and expanded API integrations that help connect fleet data across systems. The company says the platform serves as the foundation for its consultative approach to fleet management.
"Technology should make a partnership sharper and faster, never replace it," Kuhn said. "If OverDrive is the experience layer and the data foundation is the intelligence layer, then our client partnership team is the advisory layer."
The company is also developing AI-enabled capabilities designed to help fleet managers identify important trends sooner and simplify day-to-day decision-making.
According to Kuhn, technology investments are intended to complement the expertise of fleet professionals rather than replace it.
The CEO appointment marks another milestone for the family-owned company. Founded in 1928, Mike Albert remains owned by the Betagole family, with John Betagole transitioning from CEO to chairman of the board.
"Marty has earned our family's confidence over the last four years, so this is a natural next step rather than a new direction," Betagole said. "His future-focused leadership has earned the trust of our team and our clients alike."
Prior to joining Mike Albert, Kuhn spent nearly 20 years in consumer finance and fintech, including serving as president of SmartPay.
