In an effort to help customers more easily adopt battery-electric vehicle (BEV) technology into their fleets, Mack Trucks now offers from Mack Financial Services ElectriFi Subscription, a usage-based leasing option exclusive to new Mack MD Electric models.
ElectriFi Subscription allows customers to pay as they go for miles driven with chassis and body, charging, applicable incentives, physical damage insurance and maintenance costs for the term of the agreement bundled into a single monthly payment for simplification.
Mack Trucks Subscription Service for Fleets
The ElectriFi Subscription offers a practical solution for Mack BEV customers by minimizing their initial investment and reducing long-term risks.
With flexible terms starting at three years and the possibility to extend up to a total term of six years, it provides customers with options.
Moreover, the ElectriFi Subscription grants access to Mack's comprehensive suite of Uptime services, which includes telematics and the Mack OneCall service — a 24/7 roadside assistance and support offering.
Skilled personnel at the Mack Uptime Center can assist customers in scheduling their necessary repairs.
ElectriFi has a tailored solution for all Mack BEV customers from the advantages of a single battery electric vehicle or considering a complete fleet electrification
In addition to the ElectriFi Subscription, Mack Financial Services offers two other options:
ElectriFi Infrastructure.
ElectriFi Lease.
Mack Trucks and Mack Financial Services can also guide available incentives for infrastructure development.
ElectriFi Lease allows customers to integrate BEVs into their fleets with reduced upfront costs. Subscribers gain access to Mack telematics through the Mack Ultra Service Contract.
Mack's Route Support Services team assists in route analysis, infrastructure upgrades, and seamless integration. This offer features full lifecycle financing options and renewable five-year terms.
The Mack Ultra Service Contract is a five-year comprehensive service agreement covering the Mack MD Electric and Mack LR Electric refuse models. This contract includes telematics with battery monitoring, a guarantee for high-voltage battery performance, all scheduled maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repairs (excluding accidents, tires, and glass).
Additionally, it offers towing for warrantable failures to the nearest Mack Certified Electric Vehicle (EV) Dealer and access to Mack OneCall for support.
Mack's Medium-Duty Electric Truck
Mack introduced the Mack MD Electric in March 2023. The MD Electric complements its diesel-powered MD model sibling.
Adding a zero-emission BEV to the Mack medium-duty lineup aligns with the company's long-term sustainability objectives.
The MD Electric is available for order and comes in Class 6 and Class 7 ratings. The Class 6 model has a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 25,995 pounds, and the Class 7 model has a GVWR of 33,000 pounds. Both models are exempt from the 12% Federal Excise Tax (FET).
The MD Electric suits various trucking applications, including dry van/refrigerated, stake/flatbed, and dump vocations. Notably, the MDE6 model does not require a Commercial Driver's License to operate for non-hazardous payloads.
