Billy Barton, KOBELCO
KOBELCO Construction Machinery USA is announced the addition of Billy Barton to the company’s growing parts team. Barton will be responsible for Parts Technical. The expansion of KOBELCO’s parts and service department amplifies the company’s mission to deliver industry leading sales support to KOBELCO dealers and customers. Barton brings with him to KOBELCO over 20 years of experience in parts sales and product support management.
Although new to this position, Barton is well versed when it comes to the KOBELCO brand. He served in a similar role with the company as a National Account Parts Sales representative from 2000-2002, during which time he was responsible for the sale of parts to over 900 national account locations throughout North America.
“It is a great privilege to once again be part of the KOBELCO parts and service team,” states Barton. “KOBELCO’s unyielding commitment to providing not only a great product, but also superior after-the-sale support to its customers is refreshing.”
In his new role, Barton will be responsible for locating parts and fulfilling parts orders as well as providing customers and dealers with pricing, availability and lead times. He will also assist with inventory control and the overall day-to-day operation of KOBELCO’s part distribution facility in Houston, Texas.
Highly qualified personnel such as Barton are critical to KOBELCO achieving its aggressive, long-term market share goals. “Billy has a well-rounded resume of industry-specific experience in the parts and service field,” states Eric Hoffman, National Parts Manager for KOBELCO Construction Machinery USA. “We are certain that his extensive background and wide-ranging skills will be an immense asset to our team.”
