Kinedyne has introduced Kinedyne Defend, a new brand for the National Stock Number (NSN), National Aerospace Standards (NAS), and Military Specifications (MIL-SPEC) products within its military, government, and specialty solutions division, according to the company's news release.
“As U.S. military demand for our cargo securement equipment and specialty hardware has grown, we have increased production capacity in our state-of-the art manufacturing facility in Prattville, Alabama,” said Jim White, who has joined Kinedyne as government business development manager. “We created the new Kinedyne Defend brand to clearly communicate the product offerings and solutions available to better support our military customers and create growth opportunities for the overall market segment.”
Kinedyne Defend includes nearly 350 active NSN products including cargo nets, general strap assemblies, and specialized cargo securement straps for aviation, aerospace, maritime, rail, and other highly customized military applications.
All Kinedyne Defend products are military-grade, NAS-compliant, and meet MIL-SPEC standards, according to the company. In addition to standard products, Kinedyne Defend offers engineered solutions to create products that solve new cargo securement challenges for the armed forces.
White brings both military and private sector experience to his new role. He joined Kinedyne from Utility Trailer Manufacturing, where he was national sales manager for more than 18 years. Prior to that, he worked for Meritor after his honorable discharge from the U.S. Army where he had served as a specialist for eight years.
“Having partnered with Jim in his previous job, we know his expertise in driving revenue growth, building customer relationships and leading other sales professionals will benefit this market segment of our overall business and further expand our market leading position,” said Dan Schlotterbeck, Kinedyne president. “Additionally, his experience in the military gives him unique insights into the needs of this important customer base.”
