Jasper Endows Today & Tomorrow (JETT) hosted a “Will Read & Sing for Food” event December 2 at the company’s Power Drive facility in Jasper, Ind.
JETT took this opportunity to present eight 2017 grants totaling $28,830.00 to local and national non-profit organizations. These organizations included:
Boys & Girls Club of Crawford/Harrison counties: $10,000
Survivors of Suicide: $7,355
Anderson Woods: $4,000
Mentors for Youth: $3,000
South Baltimore Learning Center: $2,000
Metal Mission (Denver): $1,000
CASA: $1,000
Freedom Reigns: $475
As a bonus to the wonderful entertainment provided that evening, JETT raised another $18,000 during 2017 to go towards the organization’s 2018 grants.
JETT is a giving circle for Jasper Engines & Transmission Associates and their families that focuses on pooling resources to have a greater combined impact on our communities. Our goal is to learn more about philanthropic opportunities and support those organizations that promote smart giving. Over 500 volunteer hours were also donated by JETT members this year.
Each year a portion of member donations goes to building the JETT endowment, which currently totals more than $160,000. JETT membership has steadily increased from 29 members in 2013 to 120 in 2017.
