IntelliShift, a cloud-based fleet and safety management platform, announced the addition of industry veteran Karl Weber to its leadership team as executive vice president of Sales. With more than 20 years of sales experience and deep expertise in modern fleet management, Weber will take a leading role in scaling and executing IntelliShift’s next phase of growth.

As technology continues to reshape how fleet organizations operate, many managers struggle to build connected, intelligent systems that keep drivers safe and optimize work processes and business outcomes. Often, data siloes inhibit the seamless movement of information from disparate areas of the business, preventing organizations from making the informed decisions that create a meaningful impact.

As EVP of sales, Weber will partner with customers and prospects alike to overcome these challenges through IntelliShift’s cloud platform, to build smarter, more efficient fleets.

“Connected fleets and safety operations are seeing amazing growth, fueled by next-gen solutions such as AI-driven video and advanced analytics,” said John Cunningham Jr, CEO and President of IntelliShift. “As we build on this opportunity and expand our footprint, we need a sales organization that’s as intelligent, agile and connected as the fleets we service. With his customer-first instincts and industry acumen, Karl will deliver this foundation and I’m thrilled to have him join the team.”

Weber comes to IntelliShift after successful sales leadership roles at Derive Systems and Fleetmatics. At Fleetmatics, he built out and led the North American Enterprise sales team, responsible for accelerating Fleetmatics dramatic growth, successful IPO and eventual sale to Verizon for $2.4B. At Derive, Weber led the Enterprise Sales and Customer Success teams and reorganized corporate-wide marketing into a single, cross-functional team. He is also the founder of Elevation Sales Consulting, supporting the growth of small and medium-sized businesses as a sales leader.

“What struck me about IntelliShift was not only its phenomenal technology platform, but how the business backs it up with a cohesive and strategic customer relationship approach,” said Weber. “IntelliShift customers have always received long-term support that yields the most successful and meaningful outcomes; expansion of this approach will help us all drive the brand’s next stage of growth. I look forward to delivering this value at scale.”
