Chris Hornberger has taken on the role of director, fleet operations and government sales for General Motors Fleet as of Oct. 1, 2021. Hornberger will report to Ed Peper, U.S. vice president, General Motors Fleet.

Hornberger most recently served as the senior retail planning manager for Buick and GMC and helped grow market share and revenue during his tenure there.

Hornberger began his GM career in 1999 in finance, working in pricing, profit analysis, and product programs. He held several positions with the Pontiac, Buick, and GMC brands, including assistant advertising and promotions manager, product marketing manager, and national advertising manager for Pontiac. He also served as national experiential manager and retail events, communications, training and accessories manager for Buick and GMC.

He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Michigan State University in finance and marketing.

Hornberger says he is looking forward to working with fleets to help make their businesses even more successful.
