Ford to Bring F-650 and F-750 Production to U.S.
DEARBORN, MI - In its announcement that the UAW has ratified a new four-year labor agreement with Ford, the automaker announced it plans to insource production of its F-650 and F-750 medium-duty trucks currently built in Escobedo, Mexico, to its Avon Lake, Ohio plant.

DEARBORN, MI - In its announcement that the UAW has ratified a new four-year labor agreement with Ford, the automaker announced it plans to insource production of its F-650 and F-750 medium-duty trucks currently built in Escobedo, Mexico, to its Avon Lake, Ohio plant.
"By moving our commercial vehicle production in-house, we will be able to streamline and strengthen the engineering and manufacturing of our next-generation medium-duty trucks," said Mark Fields, Ford Motor Company’s president of The Americas.
The automaker said this change marks the end of a decade-old Blue Diamond Truck LLC joint venture between Ford and Navistar International, which currently manufactures Ford F-650 and F-750 trucks in Mexico for customers across North America.
In addition, the automaker said it will end production of its E-Series vans at its Avon Lake, Ohio plant. Ford said that variations of the E-Series will continue to be available through “most of the decade.”
