A new work truck is always exciting, but when it comes with a little family history? Even better.
Carhartt Family Wines in Los Olivos, California, is putting the 2027 Ford Super DutyCarhartt Package to work during harvest season, giving the new collaboration between Ford and Carhartt a real-world proving ground.
The family-owned winery, which operates independently from the Carhartt workwear company, was among the first to purchase a Ford F-350 Super Duty equipped with the new package.
For Mike, Brooke, and Chase Carhartt, the truck isn't just a nod to the family's heritage. It's another tool for getting the job done.
From Vineyard Roads to Harvest Hauling
Harvest season means long days, tight windows to get work done, and plenty of time spent navigating the dirt roads connecting the vineyard and winery.
The Super Duty handles those daily trips, with Mike Carhartt regularly behind the wheel hauling fruit and moving between jobs.
“Trucks are obviously one of the most important tools that we use in the vineyard and here down at the winery,” said Brooke Carhartt. “Not only does Mike use the Super Duty Carhartt every single day running up and down these roads, but also he hauls fruit.”
Like many working trucks, the F-350 also serves as a mobile office when Mike is out in the field.

What's Included in the 2027 Ford Super Duty Carhartt Package?
Developed through a collaboration between Ford and Carhartt, the new package combines workwear-inspired styling with features designed for demanding work environments.
Available on Super Duty XLT Crew Cab single-rear-wheel 4x4 pickups, the Carhartt Package includes:
- 20-inch machined and painted wheels inspired in part by industrial textures near Carhartt's Detroit flagship store.
- All-terrain tires for navigating unpaved surfaces.
- Off-road running boards.
- A dark-painted grille.
- Tough Bed spray-in bedliner featuring the Carhartt logo.
- Cloth seats inspired by Carhartt's Duck Canvas material, complete with signature triple stitching.
- Premium all-weather floor mats inspired by Carhartt tool bags.
For Mike, who spends plenty of time in the driver's seat, the interior materials and overall driving experience have made an impression.
“The cloth seats are amazing. I love that material, and not to mention how comfortable it is. And the torque behind it is something. It’s such quality. It’s so solid,” said Mike Carhartt.

A Family Connection Built Around Hard Work
While the new package celebrates the shared Detroit heritage of Ford and Carhartt, the connection is especially meaningful for the family behind Carhartt Family Wines.
Chase Carhartt grew up on the family's ranch, surrounded by the same dirt roads his father traveled. Today, the family's work continues in the vineyard and winery.
“Because of the history of my family, there is some level of workmanship, and to me something that I feel like I want to live up to. I want to make that story proud,” said Chase Carhartt.
For this family operation, the new Ford Super Duty is both a connection to that history and a working part of the business, hauling fruit, navigating the property, and helping keep harvest moving.
