For fleet managers, downtime isn’t just an inconvenience; it’s lost jobs, missed deadlines, and money out the door. That reality has been a driving force behind Ford Pro’s rapid expansion of its Elite Commercial Service Centers, specialized facilities designed to keep commercial vehicles on the road where they belong.

Launched just two years ago, these centers were created to offer fleets what traditional service models often can’t: extended hours, faster turnaround times, bigger bays for work trucks and fleet vans, and even mobile service options when bringing a vehicle in just isn’t possible. What started with 18 centers has now grown to 70 locations across 21 markets, supported by nearly $2 billion in dealer investments.

“The rapid expansion of our Ford Pro Elite Commercial Service Centers is driven by a shared investment between Ford and our dealers, and it is a direct response to what our commercial customers told us they need,” said Marty Field, director of Ford Pro Elite Commercial Service Centers. “Differentiated service for their specialized work-ready vehicles, delivered by highly trained technicians.”

Solving Real Fleet Pain Points

If you’ve ever had to wait weeks for parts, shuffle jobs because trucks are stuck in a bay, or chase down updates on repairs, you know the struggle. Ford Pro’s model aims to flip that experience.

“Our service model prioritizes customer schedules with extended hours for overnight or weekend service,” Field noted. “Ford Mobile Service brings technicians directly to job sites, saving fleet owners critical hours of vehicle downtime.”

That approach is already making an impact. Ford Pro cites a 20% reduction in repair times, plus more than 578,000 Mobile Service experiences delivered in just the second quarter of this year, up 21% from last year. Fleets like those working with Stivers Ford Birmingham have also seen satisfaction jump by 15 points among mobile service customers.

Built for Fleets Big and Small

The Elite Commercial Service Center footprint isn’t limited to major metro areas. Yes, hubs like Jacksonville, Florida, and Columbus, Ohio, are on the list, but so are smaller markets like Scottsdale, Arizona, and Grand Rapids, Michigan.

“We determine locations by matching the density of commercial vehicles in key markets with dealers who are dedicated to growing their commercial service business,” Field explained. “This strategy works in small and large markets, because we have commercial customers in need of service across the country.”

That means whether you’re running a handful of work vans in the Midwest or managing a multi-state fleet in the Southeast, there’s likely an Elite Service Center closer than you think.

Technology Meets the Service Bay

Another major win for fleets is how Ford Pro uses connected vehicle data to cut down on surprises. With telematics and Ford Pro Intelligence, vehicles can flag issues early, while service centers combine data, roadside support, and dealer expertise to move repairs faster.

“Efficiency is driven by a combination of best-in-class service and connected technology,” Field added. “A great example is Ford Mobile Service, which provides on-site repairs, reducing wait times.”

From large fleets to local businesses, Ford Pro’s Elite Commercial Service Centers are expanding nationwide to deliver reliable uptime-focused fleet service.

What’s Next for Fleets

Ford Pro has made it clear this expansion isn’t slowing down. Over the next five years, more centers are planned, more service capacity will be added, and more opportunities will open for fleets to take advantage of predictive maintenance, digital scheduling, and even on-site upfitting.

“As we expand to new markets across the U.S., we anticipate growth in our dealers’ overall customer base, expanded service capacity, and creating more job opportunities for highly trained technicians,” Field said.

For fleet managers, that means more uptime, fewer headaches, and service partners who are working with you, not against your schedule.

The Work Truck Takeaway

At the end of the day, keeping trucks and vans in service is what keeps businesses running. Ford Pro’s Elite Commercial Service Centers are betting on a simple equation: better service, smarter tools, and more locations equal more uptime for fleets.

And for anyone managing vehicles that can’t afford to sit idle, that’s welcome news.
