Tips include:
Slow down to a maximum 15 mph at "blind intersections," where there are no stop signs at any corner and you can't see for 100 feet in either direction during the last 100 feet before crossing.
Come to a complete stop before turning right on a red light. You must allow cross traffic, oncoming traffic that has a protected left turn on green, or pedestrians approaching or already in the crosswalk to proceed.
Remember, when large trucks turn, they need more space than regular vehicles. Don't ever try to squeeze by them or pass them while they're making their turn.
At four-way stops, always allow the first vehicle at the intersection – or the one to the right, if two arrive simultaneously – to cross first.
