Fillip Fleet Expands Into U.S. Market With Digital Fuel Card Platform
Fillip Fleet expands into the U.S., bringing digital fuel cards, fleet expense controls, and contactless payments to fleets across North America.

Fillip Fleet has expanded into the United States, bringing its digital fuel card and fleet expense management platform to commercial fleets across North America. Drivers can use contactless payments through mobile wallets while fleet managers gain real-time visibility into fuel purchases and spending.

Fillip Fleet has launched its digital fuel card and vehicle expense management platform in the United States, extending its services across North America for the first time.
The Calgary-based fintech company, founded in 2022, is bringing a mobile-first approach to fleet payments, allowing businesses to issue digital fuel cards instantly via a smartphone app. Drivers can use the cards for fuel and other fleet-related purchases through Apple Wallet or Google Wallet anywhere Visa contactless payments are accepted.
For fleet managers, the platform combines payment capabilities with real-time spend visibility, customizable purchasing controls, fraud alerts, and automated reporting. The company says secure digital cards help reduce risks associated with physical card fraud while providing accurate transaction data at the point of sale.
Digital Fuel Cards Gain Momentum Across Fleet Operations
Fillip's expansion comes as fleet operators increasingly seek technology that provides greater control over fuel spending and vehicle expenses. Contactless payments have become more common at fueling locations, while fleets continue looking for ways to gain real-time visibility into operating costs.
Unlike traditional fleet card programs that often require minimum vehicle counts, extensive credit reviews, and long-term agreements, Fillip was designed to serve small and midsize fleets. The company offers no setup fees, no vehicle minimums, and optional credit checks, allowing businesses to begin fueling within as little as one day.
"When we started Fillip, we saw that small- and medium-sized businesses were being left behind by an industry built for large enterprises," said Alice Reimer, CEO of Fillip Fleet. "Our growth across Canada proved the demand was real. Now, by bringing Fillip to the United States, we're giving North American businesses of all sizes a modern, mobile-first way to manage fleet fuel and expenses, no matter where the road takes them."
The U.S. launch follows a period of growth for the company, including participation in Visa's Fintech Fast Track Program and partnerships with Canadian telecommunications providers, fuel retailers, and fleet telematics companies.
Fillip's platform is accepted anywhere Visa payments are supported, giving drivers access to a broad fueling network throughout Canada and the United States. The company said the expansion positions it to serve a growing market as fleets adopt digital payment technologies and seek more integrated approaches to fuel and expense management.
According to Fillip, the platform also integrates vehicle expense management functions with operational tools, helping fleets manage fueling, maintenance, compliance, spending controls, and reporting from a single system.
