FCA US wrapped up its 26-city fleet road show that provided fleet managers around the country a hands-on experience with 2016 model year vehicles.
FCA US held its final fleet preview on June 16 in Seattle. The events gave fleet professionals a chance to drive a variety of Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, and Ram Truck vehicles. The events began April 23 in Des Moines, Iowa.
This year's program set an attendance record and drew a cross-section of the fleet industry that included 31 percent commercial, 28 percent fleet management company representatives, 16 percent dealers, 14 percent upfitters, 8 percent government, and 3 percent other, according to FCA US.
"This year's regional fleet preview events drew in many of our valued customers and prospects," said Frank Dankovich, director of fleet sales. "Based on attendee feedback surveys, they clearly enjoyed the chance to test drive our new vehicles and hear about the new product features from their local sales rep."
The events were a great opportunity for fleet managers to drive FCA's 2016 models, Dankovich said.
Vehicles at the event included the new Jeep Renegade compact SUV, Jeep Cherokee, Chrysler 200, Ram 1500, ProMaster, and ProMaster City, and upfitted ProMaster vans. The Renegade was the most popular vehicle on this year's tour based on inquiries and time spent driving it, said Ralph Kisiel, an FCA spokesman.
Members of the FCA fleet sales team attending all the events included the national sales manager, regional account executive, van/truck manager, and government representative.
The majority of FCA's fleet customers rely on the events to make a purchasing decision, according to the company.
