How efficient is your fleet's fuel usage, given your vehicles' driving environment? How do your vehicles' fuel economy metrics stack up to comparable vehicles in similar industries or driving environments?
Historically, those questions would be answered based on the vehicles’ specifications and anecdotal information. Today, fleets have many more tools at their disposal to more precisely match car and truck models to duty cycles based on data from real-world applications.
At the 2019 Fleet Forward Conference, Enterprise Fleet Management and Geotab will demonstrate how artificial intelligence and big data are being leveraged to spec vehicles based on real-world metrics involving vocation, topography, city density, and even local weather patterns.
The seminar will present actual fleet use cases to reveal how fleets can leverage these data sets — both internally and across similar, anonymized fleets — to ensure light-duty fleets get the best vehicle for the task at hand.
“Fleets have more data at their disposal than ever before, but facing the tidal wave of data is daunting,” says Chris Brown, chair of the Fleet Forward Conference. “This seminar will give attendees a roadmap to interpreting and integrating this data in meaningful ways.”
The seminar “Using AI & Big Data to Spec Light-Duty Fleets” will be presented by Mike Branch, vice president data & analytics at Geotab and Dain Giesie, assistant vice president, Enterprise Fleet Management. It convenes at 10:20am on Tuesday, Nov. 12.
