CURT Manufacturing LLC, manufacturer and marketer of U.Smade towing products, announced the acquisition of Luverne Truck Equipment. Luverne is one of the largest domestic manufacturers of truck accessories, offering a wide selection of front-end protection, side steps, splash guards, mirrors, and more. Luverne is headquartered in Brandon, S.D., and has been designing and manufacturing American-made truck accessories since 1963.
Luverne manufactures thousands of high-quality products right here in the United States. Some of Luverne’s popular product names include Retrac, MegaStep, GripStep, Regal 7, ProTec, and Tuff Guard. Luverne produces accessories primarily in high-quality polished stainless steel, anodized aluminum, and powder-coated mild steel. The company offers applications for pickups, SUVs, vans, as well as a broad range of heavy-duty applications, including semi-tractors.
“We’re very excited to join forces with CURT, a company with a similar culture and focus on American manufactured products,” said John Schulzetenberg, President of Luverne.
Steve Lempelius, Executive Vice President of Luverne, believes the passion and aggressiveness of CURT will be a shot in the arm to the success of Luverne Truck Equipment and Retrac.
“Bringing Luverne into the CURT family is both exciting and advantageous for CURT and our customers,” CURT CEO, Greg Hooks stated. “We are proud to be adding more manufacturing capabilities for truck accessories within the United States, especially in the heavy-duty truck market. We look forward to the improved quality, speed, and flexibility that this acquisition will provide.”
