Continental Tire Appoints New Director of Original Equipment, Truck Tires, Americas
Torben Tiersch brings more than two decades of international experience to his new role as director of original equipment, Truck Tires, Americas, Continental Tire.

Torben Tiersch has led Continental’s OE Truck & Trailer business across North and South America, driving strategy, customer engagement, and technical direction. He is now Continental Tire’s new director of original equipment (OE), Truck Tires, Americas.

Continental Tire has appointed Torben Tiersch as director of original equipment (OE), Truck Tires, Americas, marking a significant step in the company’s continued commitment to strengthening its OE partnerships and technical leadership across North and South America.
“Torben’s blend of technical depth, customer focus, and international leadership experience makes him exceptionally well-suited for this role,” said Renato Sarzano, SVP Truck Tires, Americas, Continental. “His track record of building strong OEM partnerships and driving engineering excellence will be instrumental as we continue to expand our OE presence across the Americas.”
Tiersch’s Background at Continental
Since joining Continental in 2003, Torben has built a diverse and international career spanning engineering, sales, and global account leadership.
Tiersch transitions into the role after serving as OE key account manager for Ford, Isuzu, and Hino, where he held responsibility for sales, account quality management, and engineering coordination. Continental said his deep technical expertise, combined with over two decades of global experience in the tire industry, positions him to lead Continental’s OE Truck and Trailer business in the Americas with a strong strategic vision.
Tiersch holds a diploma in mechanical engineering and completed an apprenticeship as a mechatronics engineer with Continental AG.
In his new position, Tiersch will oversee all OE truck and trailer activities in North and South America, guiding strategic initiatives, customer engagement, and technical development to support Continental’s long-term growth in the region.
