Continental Improves Regional Tire for P&D Service

FORT MILL, SC - Responding to customer requests for a more rugged regional truck tire, Continental Tire North America, Inc. announced it has enhanced its HSR1 tire's performance capabilities for pick-up and delivery applications.

FORT MILL, SC - Responding to customer requests for a more rugged regional truck tire, Continental Tire North America, Inc. announced it has enhanced its HSR1 tire's performance capabilities for pick-up and delivery applications.

Continental's HSR1 (Heavy Steer Regional) will now feature a curb/scuff rib feature in the 245/70R19.5 size. This new feature helps prevent damage conditions caused from curbing, cuts, and abrasions and protects the casing for greater retreadabilityThe HSR1 tire is an all-position truck tire, featuring pyramidal stone ejectors in all tread grooves to reduce stone retention, a tread pattern designed for wet traction, and a tread compound designed for long life in regional hauling and on- and off-road applications.

In addition to the 245/70R19.5 size, the HSR1 is also available in 285/70R19.5; 305/70R19.5; 255/70R22.5; 275/70R22.5; 295/80R22.5; and 315/80R22.5 sizes.
