Newnan, Ga.,-based Campbell-Parnell has been approved by the California Air Resource Board to supply a propane autogas fuel system for Isuzu NPR HD cabovers.
The Campbell-Parnell system for dual-fuel or bi-fuel trucks will be available to Isuzu dealers in the Southeast for NPR HD cabovers equipped with General Motors' 6.0L V-8 engine. Georgia Gas Distributors in Sandy Springs will provide the Campbell-Parnell system. The company is targeting the Atlanta metro area.
Campbell-Parnell uses advanced technology in its system, according to Georgia Gas. The truck's electronic control unit communicates directly to the computer to make real-time changes in the program to keep the on-board diagnostics to factory standards. The system also uses Campbell-Parnell's propane I-Plus Injectors.
