"We are very excited to begin this new chapter with our mining tire business," says Kurt Danielson, president, Bridgestone Commercial Solutions (BACS). "The formation of Bridgestone Mining Solutions will allow us to enhance our mining offerings and be more responsive to our mining customers' needs."

In addition, BATO announced several personnel changes within its commercial tire operations to strengthen structural clarity, efficiency and profitability.

Within BACS, John Boynton has accepted the role of vice president of sales for TBR, Retread and Construction Tires. Within BATO's Company Owned Operations Group (COO), Doyle Bradford has accepted the position of vice president, sales and operations.

Finally, a new position has been created to assist in developing and executing long-term strategies for all commercial businesses. Stacey Simmons has accepted the role of director of strategic planning.

"Under this new structure, we have created a very dynamic and effective leadership team for our commercial tire organization," says Ken Weaver, president, U.S. & Canada Commercial Tire Sales Division, BATO. "With these changes, our business will also be more streamlined, more responsive to changing market conditions and better positioned to achieve our goal of providing customers with comprehensive, solution-based offerings."
