Automotive Fleet is now accepting responses for its 2026 Personal Use Survey, an annual benchmark that examines how commercial fleets manage personal use of company vehicles.

Note: Respondents to this survey must be private (non-public) fleets.

The survey gathers information on topics including personal-use eligibility, monthly charges, authorized drivers, vehicle policies, and other program details. The results help fleet professionals compare their policies and practices with those of their peers across the industry.

Automotive Fleet also included personal use historical analysis in the 2025 Fact Book.

All responses will be kept confidential. Fleet managers interested in participating can complete the survey below.

The last personal use survey found that 72% of fleets allow personal use of company vehicles, while more than half (52%) charge employees nothing for the benefit. The 2026 survey will examine how those policies are evolving as fleet costs, tax considerations, and driver expectations continue to change.

The deadline for the survey is September 18th.
