PASADENA, CA - One of the nation's experts on energy security, Assistant Secretary of Defense Sharon Burke, will address the world's largest gathering of advanced, clean high-efficiency truck and bus users and makers in Baltimore, Md., Oct. 12.
PASADENA, CA - One of the nation's experts on energy security, Assistant Secretary of Defense Sharon Burke, will address the world's largest gathering of advanced, clean high-efficiency truck and bus users and makers in Baltimore, Md., Oct. 12.
Burke joins an impressive array of high-level experts who will speak to more than 800 expected attendees at the Hybrid Truck Users Forum (HTUF) National Conference & Expo 2011.
She is in charge of Operational Energy Plans and Programs for the Department of Defense and is the principal advisor to the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of Defense. Burke, who is a renowned energy security expert, will highlight critical economic and national security benefits of fuel-efficient fleets for commercial and military use.
HTUF focuses on advanced, energy-saving trucks, including hybrid, electric and highefficiency designs. In addition to military users, major commercial fleets such as Coca-Cola, UPS and Constellation Energy will be on hand to discuss experiences with clean vehicles and truck and bus industry leaders will provide data on the most advanced technologies available in the medium and heavy-duty markets, including: BAE Systems, Azure, Hino, Eaton, Siemens, Smith, Bosch Rexroth, Dow Kokam and Freightliner.
