A. Duie Pyle, Inc., a provider of asset and non-asset-based transportation and supply chain solutions in the Northeast, is celebrating its 90th year in business. Started in 1924, the family-owned business has weathered The Great Depression, World War II, motor carrier deregulation and is now moving into its fourth generation of ownership.

“When our grandparents started A. Duie Pyle back in 1924 with one truck, they never could have imagined where the company would go,” said Peter Latta, Chairman/CEO. “Without the hard work of our dedicated team, none of this would be possible. We are constantly encouraged and humbled by the values and optimism of all Pyle People.”

A. Duie Pyle’s unique culture has been largely cited for the company’s continuing success. After decertifying the Teamsters Union in 1979, A. Duie Pyle established the culture and trust that has enabled the company to nurture and retain some of the top talent in the business. Pyle has remained committed to the success of it’s customers and Pyle People.

“I started at A. Duie Pyle more than 40 years ago,” said Tim Kershaw, pick-up and delivery driver at A. Duie Pyle. “In my time here the Pyle Culture and humility of all Pyle People has remained constant and is respected not just within the company but around the industry. It’s not often that you come across a company where leadership and even owners can be found working hand-in-hand with the team.”

Over the years A. Duie Pyle has moved from a steel and heavy hauler, a household moving company and warehouseman to a provider of less-than-truckload (LTL), commercial warehousing, van and flatbed full truckload (TL) services. Most recently, A. Duie Pyle has added custom dedicated driver/equipment and brokerage services to its expansive line of services. The company has 19 service centers and 8 warehouses with more than 2 million sq. ft. of warehousing space. Servicing the Northeast region, and the Midwest, Southeast, Canada and the Caribbean through established partnerships, A. Duie Pyle has become known as a trusted leader in the motor carrier industry.
