The fleet world is a unique, and uniquely challenging, career choice. Stories of how a lot of you got into this industry ranges from "falling into fleet" - often on accident - to a family member being involved.

And yet, many of you spend untold hours volunteering for organizations, even responding to our frequent requests for input and help, and, in my opinion, you all do it with a smile and a passion for your careers that is unheard of in many industries. 

A recent editorial by Mike Antich told of a story of our late founder, Ed Bobit, and how he noted when looking through some industry photos that he was "The luckiest guy in the world to have know all of these great people." And it got me thinking -- we have written about the qualities of a great fleet manager, which you all embrace and represent every single day.

But, what is your inspiration to be the great fleet managers you are? What drives you to do all you do, every day?

What are the moments that make you treasure your job and look forward to every day? Is the people you meet, the reward of a job well done, or the look on a driver's face when the technology you mandated just saved their life?
