With two decades of fleet experience, White has an in-depth understanding of what it takes to manage a well-run fleet.

The Women in Fleet Profile series introduces fleet managers to some of the most influential women in fleet. Every month, we will get to know another positive force in the fleet industry.
This month, we spoke with Kelli White, global strategic sourcing manager, fleet for Brink’s, Incorporated.
Getting into Fleet
White has been involved in fleet for the past 20 years. Working at Brink’s Inc., for the past year and a half, she has worked in various fleet capacities at Goodman Networks, Frito-Lay, Kinder Morgan, and AT&T Broadband.
In her current role, White is responsible for sourcing chassis, upfitters, as well as vehicle maintenance, repair, and fuel providers.
“In addition to the sourcing activities, I also manage the fleet contracts and vendor relationships,” White explained.
Her fleet career began at AT&T Broadband.
“My first role in fleet was supporting the director of fleet at AT&T Broadband. Over time, my responsibilities evolved, and I became more involved in the day-to-day fleet operations. Since then, I have been hooked!” White said.
One of White’s top success stories took place at Goodman Networks.
“I am quite proud of the success in growing the Goodman Networks fleet from just under 300 units to more than 3,000 units in a little over 18 months! My team and I were able to lower the cost per mile by $0.07 through preventive maintenance (PM) management, data analytics/reporting, and lifecycle management. We also partnered with the safety team to reduce accident rates by 11% through training and reporting,” she said.
Working in fleet is the only motivation White needs to continue to strive for success.
“It’s simple, I love what I do. I am passionate about fleet and making a positive impact on my organization,” she said.
White’s advice for those currently in fleet or considering it as a career is simple: “Be present, get involved, listen to others to understand different perspectives, find a mentor (or two), and always believe in yourself,” she said.
Get to Know Me
Experience is only part of our story and what someone likes to read, watch, and listen to can help paint a fuller picture of their personality. Here are some of White’s favorites:
Book: “A Giraffe and a Half by Shel Silverstein. This was the bedtime story I read to my boys when they were young,” she said.
Movie: “My favorite movie is A Christmas Story. We watch it all day on Christmas; it’s just a sweet, feel good movie,” White said.
Songs: “This is a tough one! I love all different types of music, but I would probably say The Dance by Garth Brooks, it just touches my soul,” she said.
You May Not Know: “One thing that most people don’t know is that I was a competitive power lifter in high school! As for hobbies, I love boating, traveling, and watching hockey with my husband. And, of course, spending all the time I can with my adult children,” White concluded.
