Many fleets worry about losing revenue when they remove their vehicles from the road. Fortunately, there are ways to minimize losses when installing graphics, according to JMR Graphics, a manufacturer and designer of commercial vehicle wraps in the U.S. Here are the three ways:
1. Rotate the vehicles in the fleet.
One way to keep production moving is to rotate the vehicles in the fleet. Remove some vehicles to receive fleet graphics, while the others remain on the road. However, this is not always feasible for businesses that stand to lose thousands of dollars if even a single vehicle is out of commission.
2. Find a flexible graphics installer.
Many graphics installers are happy to work according to a schedule that ensures the fleet does not lose money during the installation process. Most are willing to travel to your premises and work after hours, ensuring that you never go without your vehicles.
Some installers may also be willing to work at night or on off-days. They also may be able to complete preparation tasks before having access to the vehicles. This requires careful coordination with the vehicle wrap designer.
3. Keep the designs consistent.
In most cases, installers will divide the project into four phases: graphic design, manufacturing, shipping or delivery, and installation. The number of vehicles and the design variations will determine how long it will take to complete the project. You can minimize the turnaround time by using the same design and vehicle wrap type on multiple vehicles.
