Truck Accessories Group, doing business as Leer Group, has announced plans to transition all of its Mexico-based truck-cap and window and door production back to the United States in the first half of 2025.
Production from Leer’s operations for Se-Gi Products in Rosarito, Mexico, has begun transitioning to its State Wide Windows facility in Elkhart, Indiana. Leer anticipates adding several dozen new jobs to the State Wide Windows operations as part of the transition to Elkhart.
In addition, Leer announced plans to transition all of its truck-cap manufacturing based in Mexicali, Mexico, across its U.S.-based truck-cap operations, effective immediately. Leer anticipates also adding jobs to each of its truck-cap facilities as a result.
Leer said both transitions are a significant part of an overall initiative by the company to continue enhancing operational efficiencies, product quality and overall customer experience.
“Combined, these transitions are a game-changer for us, representing a major investment in our U.S.- based manufacturing and helping us to continue delivering the high-quality products our customers expect,” said Alan Farash, president and CEO of Leer Group. “They will also allow us to take full advantage of the skilled workforce available here in Indiana and throughout our U.S. operations. Most importantly, it enables us to deepen our partnerships with dealers and elevate the experience we provide to our customers.
