Isuzu North America Corporation donated a new Isuzu N-Series NRR gas-powered truck to the South Greenville Fire District. The truck will give the district a versatile resource to support community outreach, fire safety education, and public engagement initiatives.

Representatives from Isuzu North America Corporation and the South Greenville Fire District celebrated the donation with a vehicle presentation ceremony. Fire District officials received a thorough walkaround showcasing the features, functions, and benefits of the new truck and body.

Isuzu NRR Gas-Powered Chassis

Isuzu said the NRR gas-powered chassis is one of the most popular models in the Isuzu lineup.

The Class 5 chassis has a 19,500-pound GVWR, best-in-class maneuverability and visibility thanks to its compact, low cab forward design, and is known for its legendary Isuzu quality.

Morgan Truck Body built the body at its Orrville, Ohio facility using Morgan Plate (a proprietary sidewall material) that is lightweight and durable for long-term quality.

It is also equipped with an Interlift liftgate by Palfinger for easier loading and unloading. This combination provides the South Greenville Fire District with a flexible platform for transporting materials, equipment, and displays to community events and educational programs throughout the area.

The truck’s distinctive graphics, featuring the South Greenville Community Risk Reduction branding, will also help create a recognizable presence for the South Greenville Fire District at public events, schools, neighborhood programs, and other community gatherings.

For Isuzu, the donation reflects a broader commitment to supporting the communities where its employees, customers, and business partners live and work.

The donation comes as Isuzu prepares to significantly expand its U.S. manufacturing presence in the Greenville area. Isuzu’s new production facility in the region will manufacture N-Series electric and gasoline-powered trucks as well as F-Series models, further strengthening the company’s connection to the community.

Established in 1965, the South Greenville Fire District is dedicated to serving every life safety need across 83 square miles of southern Greenville County, South Carolina. The district strives to be leaders in the fire service and role models to their peers by providing an all-hazard response that includes fire suppression, emergency medical response, rescue, and community risk reduction services.
