Wreaths Across America (WAA) announced that it has accepted a contribution of $50,000 from the National Association of Independent Truckers (NAIT), according to the nonprofit organization's news release.

The annual donation is now in its seventh year and will help WAA in its mission to honor fallen military services members across the U.S. with wreath-laying ceremonies this December at more than 3,200 participating locations as part of National Wreaths Across America Day.

According ot WAA, the purpose of this donation the organization in its efforts to deliver veterans’ wreaths from Maine to their final destinations across the U.S.

“It is partners like NAIT that continue to step up and amaze us with their generosity, not just with financial assistance for the professional drivers supporting the mission, but in their commitment to veterans and local communities,” said Don Queeney, director of transportation, Wreaths Across America. “This donation will help ensure that owner-operators who want to help with the delivery of veterans’ wreaths to locations across the country will have access to resources to make that a reality. We are grateful to NAIT and all the professional drivers and Honor Fleet members that help us move the mission.”

WAA said this support helps ‘lighten the load’ for professional drivers wanting to support the mission through a contribution of their time and equipment.

“The National Association of Independent Truckers is honored to once again partner with Wreaths Across America for the 2022 Mission,” said Jason Sheets, VP, business development
