Nearly two years after helping The Book Fairies break the Guinness World Records for the longest line of books – 3.81 miles – at two New York elementary schools, Transervice Logistics Inc. is continuing to collect and distribute hundreds of books to decrease the high rates of illiteracy in the New York area.

A provider of customized fleet maintenance and leasing solutions, the company’s September Book Drive brought in nearly 450 donations from their regional and local facilities.

In the three years the company has been partnering with The Book Fairies, Transervice has donated and distributed some 1,600 books to help the organization fight illiteracy and donate literature to underprivileged communities across Long Island, the New York metro area, and overseas.

“Our employees look forward to beating our book donation records every September and this year was no exception,” said Sean Schnipper, Transervice Marketing and Social Media Manager. “We’re committed to supporting The Book Fairies’ success in spreading the love of reading to children across our state.”
