Continental Tire the Americas is proud to announce the launch of the ContiTread HTR, a next-generation retread engineered to meet the demanding needs of trailer service across regional and long-haul applications.
Continental said its new trailer retread provides durability and use in a wide range of vocations and the tread was engineered to reduce heat build up and enhance casing integrity.
Built with a lightweight, resilient compound, the ContiTread HTR delivers consistent, dependable performance in challenging environments. Its robust tread pattern and enhanced rounded shoulder design offer superior durability in high-scrub conditions, making it a versatile solution for a wide range of vocations.
“The ContiTread HTR represents a significant advancement in retread technology,” said Shaun Uys, vice president of Continental’s U.S. Commercial Vehicle Tire business. “We’ve designed it to outperform its predecessor, the HTL.”
Key innovations, according to the company, include:
Rounded shoulder design for increased durability in high-scrub environments.
New tread pattern that resists shoulder tearing and provides enhanced stone protection.
Heat-reducing compound that preserves casing integrity for future retreading.
Precision-engineered widths (200–240 mm) to support long-lasting performance.
Optimized for regional over-the-road use, the ContiTread HTR also excels in long-haul operations, offering fleets a reliable, cost-effective solution that extends tire life and reduces total cost of ownership, according to Continental.
